Causes of Papilloma Formation
- HPV Infection: The primary cause is infection with various types of HPV, which enters the body through microtraumas on the skin or mucous membranes.
- Weakened Immunity: People with compromised immune systems (due to HIV/AIDS, chemotherapy, or other conditions) have a higher risk of developing papillomas.
- Poor Hygiene: Inadequate personal hygiene, especially in public places like swimming pools or gyms, increases the risk of HPV infection.
- Chronic Skin Trauma: Constant irritation or injury to the same area can contribute to papilloma development.
- Genetic Predisposition: Some individuals may be genetically more susceptible to HPV infection.
HPV can remain dormant in the body for years and may only manifest under the influence of external or internal stressors.
