Main types of cervical surgeries:
1.Cone biopsy (conization):
- Indications: Suspicion of precancerous conditions or cervical cancer, as well as to remove abnormal areas of tissue.
- Procedure: Removal of a cone-shaped piece of tissue from the cervix for diagnosis or treatment.
2.Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP):
- Indications: Treatment of cervical dysplasia, precancerous conditions.
- Procedure: Removal of abnormal tissues using a loop with an electric current.
3.Cryotherapy:
- Indications: Treatment of precancerous conditions and some forms of dysplasia.
- Procedure: Freezing and destroying abnormal cervical cells using liquid nitrogen.
4.Laser therapy:
- Indications: Removal of precancerous tissue or treatment of dysplasia.
- Procedure: Use of a laser to precisely remove damaged areas.
5.Trachelectomy (removal of the cervix):
- Indications: Early stages of cervical cancer when reproductive function is desired.
- Procedure: Removal of the cervix, leaving the uterus intact for future pregnancies.
6.Hysterectomy:
- Indications: Serious cervical conditions, such as cancer.
- Procedure: Complete removal of the uterus along with the cervix.

History taking:
- The doctor will ask questions about symptoms, previous diseases, menstrual history and contraceptive methods.
- Discuss previous examination results, if any.
Physical examination:
- A gynecological examination is performed using a speculum to assess the condition of the cervix.
- A Pap smear or other tests may be taken.
Diagnostic examinations:
- If necessary, the doctor may prescribe additional tests, such as a pelvic ultrasound, biopsy or colposcopy.
Discussion of results and treatment plan:
- The doctor will explain the results of the examination, possible diagnoses and suggest treatment options.
- The patient will be able to ask all the questions and get the necessary information about further actions.
