Stages of the Supravaginal Hysterectomy operation at the Helios Center:

1.Consultation and diagnostics:

  • A consultation with a doctor is held to discuss symptoms and possible indications for surgery.
  • The necessary tests, such as ultrasound, MRI, blood tests, are prescribed to assess the condition of the uterus and the patient's general health.

2.Preparation for surgery:

  • The patient undergoes the necessary examinations, including an assessment of the condition of the heart, lungs and other organs.
  • The doctor gives recommendations on diet and restrictions before surgery, as well as on the use of medications.

3.Surgery:

  • The operation is performed under general anesthesia.
  • The doctor performs a supravaginal approach through the vagina to remove the uterus, and if necessary, the ovaries with fallopian tubes.
  • The operation can be performed both traditionally and using laparoscopy in some cases.

4.Rehabilitation:

  • After the operation, the patient is under the supervision of doctors in the hospital.
  • To prevent infections and pain, the patient may be prescribed antibiotics and painkillers.
