What is TCDG and MAG?
1. TCDG (Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound) — this method allows the assessment of blood flow in the brain vessels through the skull. It is used to detect circulatory disorders, such as stenosis, blood clots, or other pathologies that could lead to strokes or other serious brain problems.
2. MAG (Microvascular Angiography)— this is an ultrasound study that examines the condition of small vessels in the head and neck, including capillaries, allowing for early-stage diagnosis of diseases before symptoms appear.
Benefits of Doppler Ultrasound at the "Helуos" Center
1. Painlessness and Safety
- TCDG and MAG do not require the use of chemicals or invasive procedures, making them safe for patients of all ages. The procedure is painless and does not require hospitalization.
2. Speed and Accuracy
- The technique provides accurate real-time data about circulatory conditions, allowing the doctor to make a quick diagnosis and start treatment.
3. Early Detection of Disorders
- Doppler ultrasound allows for the detection of circulatory problems at an early stage, before they lead to serious consequences such as strokes or brain ischemia.
4. Comprehensive Approach
- At our center, a comprehensive examination is conducted, evaluating the condition of the head and neck vessels, considering all aspects of blood circulation and microcirculation, which helps in accurately assessing the patient's health and selecting an effective treatment strategy.
