How is the consultation and treatment at the Helios Center:

Initial consultation:

During the initial consultation, the doctor collects complete information about the patient's symptoms, conducts a gynecological examination and prescribes additional tests, such as ultrasound, laparoscopy or MRI to assess the condition of the intestines and other pelvic organs.

Diagnostics:

The following methods can be used for an accurate diagnosis of intestinal endometriosis:

Ultrasound of the pelvic organs - to detect changes indicating endometriosis, in particular in the intestines.
Laparoscopy - a minimally invasive method that allows you to see the affected areas of the intestines and take a biopsy for histological examination.
Colonoscopy - an endoscopic examination of the intestines to detect lesions of the intestinal mucosa.

Treatment:

Drug treatment: In the early stages, hormonal drugs may be prescribed to reduce the growth of endometriotic foci and control pain. These may include oral contraceptives, gestagens or GnRH agonists.
