How is the consultation going?
History taking:
the doctor asks about symptoms, chronic diseases.
Examination and palpation:
examination of the anal area and palpation of the rectum.
Sigmoidoscopy:
examination of the rectum to detect pathologies.
Diagnosis and recommendations:
treatment, changes in diet and lifestyle.
Additional examinations:
tests and ultrasound if necessary.
The consultation will help identify the problem and develop an effective treatment plan.
Contraindications (possible):
- Acute inflammatory processes in the anal area with severe pain;
- Severe rectal bleeding;
- Severe general condition of the patient;
- Severe cardiovascular diseases in the decompensation stage;
- Acute infectious diseases;
- Significant narrowing of the anal canal (when viewing is technically impossible);
Certain mental conditions that prevent the examination.
In such cases, the doctor may postpone the examination or choose an alternative diagnostic method.
