How is the consultation going?
The doctor asks about symptoms, their duration, possible injuries or illnesses, as well as hereditary factors (it is necessary to find out about the presence of nervous diseases in relatives).
The neurologist conducts a general examination, checks the mobility and sensitivity of the limbs, and also tests reflexes, coordination of movements and muscle strength.
Brain functions such as memory, language, perception, orientation in space and time are assessed.
If necessary, the doctor prescribes additional examinations: MRI, CT scan, electroencephalography (EEG), blood tests and other tests to clarify the diagnosis.
After analyzing the results, the doctor gives recommendations for treatment and necessary procedures, and also discusses a follow-up plan.
