Graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Institute in 1982.


Since 1989 – Assistant, and from February 1999 – Associate Professor at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education at Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy.


In November 1996, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic:

"Prediction, prevention, and differentiated treatment strategies for anatomical and functional changes in the urinary system in patients with reproductive system disorders." Author of over 90 scientific and educational publications.


Since 2009, after completing a training course at the UNICEF Representative Office in Ukraine, she has served as a national trainer on the topic "Prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV."


Since 2013, she has been a member of a working group established at the initiative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to implement a methodology for reviewing life-threatening critical cases among pregnant and postpartum women.


For her many years of highly professional, dedicated work and conscientious attitude to her duties, Dr. Zherzhova has been awarded:

  • Certificates of Appreciation from the Rector of the State Institution “DMA of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”;
  • Honorary Diplomas from the Main Department of Health of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration;
  • Recognition from the Head of the Health Department of the Dnipro City Council.
